Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
1. What this page covers
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on the public marketing sites sparqbox.com and sparqbox.nl. It is part of our privacy policy.
2. Strictly necessary
These are always on. They are required for the site to work and for us to remember your cookie choice. They are not used for tracking. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.
- Session and CSRF tokens — issued by our hosting provider; expire when you close the browser tab or shortly after.
- Your cookie choice — stored in your browser as
sparqbox-consent-v1so we do not ask you on every page.
3. Analytics (opt-in)
With your consent we use Microsoft Clarity on sparqbox.com and sparqbox.nl to understand which pages help visitors and where the layout breaks. Clarity captures aggregated heatmaps and session replays. We use it for product and content decisions, not for advertising profiles.
- What is captured: visitor IP (truncated by Clarity), pages visited, mouse/scroll/click interactions, session replays of the marketing site. Form inputs are masked.
- Workspace data: Clarity does not run inside the Sparqbox application; it never touches your workspace content.
- Retention: per Clarity defaults (rolling, capped at 1 year).
- Provider: Microsoft Corporation, primarily processed in the US under SCCs + EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Analytics cookies do not load until you click Accept all or enable the analytics toggle in the banner.
4. Marketing
We currently set no marketing or advertising cookies on this site. The marketing toggle in the banner is there so you can opt out in advance; if that ever changes we will announce it on this page and only load marketing cookies after explicit consent.
5. How to control cookies
- On this site: click Cookie preferences in the footer at any time. You can also click Reject non-essential to disable analytics.
- In your browser: all modern browsers let you block cookies for individual sites. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
- Do Not Track: we treat DNT as a request to decline analytics, where the browser sends a clear signal. Most browsers no longer send one.
6. Changes
We update this policy whenever we add or remove a category. The "Last updated" date always reflects the latest change.
